COE NORTON VideoS

This interview was conducted in 1986 by Beryl Dakers for SC ETV. Coe Norton talks about his life, career and outlook. Coe also discusses what makes a good magic show. He performs the Al Koran Linking Rings, and a version of Ring Flite. 

Coe portrayed a magician on a number of TV shows and commercials. Here he is with Mr. Whipple in a 1968 commercial   for Charmin bathroom tissue. Coe always offered to create the desired effects by magic, but they chose to use an edit instead.

From 1951 to 1954 Coe starred in one of the very first TV soap operas,  Search for Tomorrow. The clip shows Coe as Dr. Hilton attempting to rouse Wilbur, a simple mute trapped in a dream, played by Don Knotts in his only dramatic role. (Watch at the beginning and the end.)
