“John, you’re the Shakespeare of magic!”

-Marvyn Roy, Mr. Electric

“This (John’s routine) is the perfect marriage of meaning and effect.”

-David Kaye, Magic Magazine

“You Rock.”

-Jeff McBride, Las Vegas

“‘The Incredible John Tudor’ – an Inside Magic favorite – was at home on the Gala stage as he interacted with the kids in the front row, pulled a rabbit from a young volunteer’s hat, balanced a sheet of newspaper vertically on his nose, and generally worked the room. Tudor – as well documented in the past, is a consummate performer. Very smooth in execution and timing, very impressive, very clever and even sweet. What stands out, however, and sets Mr. Tudor apart from almost every magician we have ever seen: his thing is using magic to tell a story, or telling a story to present magic. Whichever the combination, it works. It was, in keeping with his Renaissance persona, as if he was holding court and we were welcomed guests. It played tremendously…he had us laughing to the point of hysterics.”

-Tim Quinlan, from Inside Magic

REVIEW  The Future of Magic and Wonder Show

By Eric Henning, Genii, The International Conjuror’s Magazine

John Tudor closed the first half with a fairy tale act.  John brought up a little girl from the audience and told a story about the moon.  Tudor handled the very bright and fidgety child effectively, maintaining a fun atmosphere. When the circular cut-out of gold  foil changed into a Star, the look on the girl’s face was priceless.

The lights came back up to a stage bare except for a small staircase and foggy mist.   A young woman entered, playing a European peasant girl, sweeping the porch and dreaming of romance.  John, this time in costumes suggesting Russian roots, returned and, well, swept her off her feet.  Completely off of them – she was suspended, supported only by the broom.  I marveled at the attention to detail in this piece.  No aspect had been left to chance, down to the drape of her skirt as she floated above the stage.  The first half ended with a huge ovation, and as the audience left for intermission they wondered aloud how the second half could possibly top what they had just seen.

“John Tudor represents the culturalization of magic…his very name means teacher.”

– Hiawatha Johnson, Jr., Randolph College

“John Tudor is an excellent example of a modern day wizard. His magic is artistic, entertaining, and astounding as he weaves his message and stories within every presentation. He challenges your perception, stimulates your imagination, and excites your world of possibilities with his magic. As instructor, John uses everything bit of his technical knowledge, theatrical skill, as he captors the emotions to get his message across. His knowledge of the voice and stage presentation skills are extremely useful in completing the performance of any magical production. I was happy that John agreed to participate in our workshop and pleased with his presentations and insight.”

-Steve Hart, Magic to Motivate

“John Tudor never fails to please our audiences.”

– Gymee Sills, Ridge Arts Council

“John Tudor is a storyteller at heart and he’s among a small clan of conjurors who can tell a tale and use magic as the ‘punctuation.’ He combines his professional acting background and striking good looks into strong and dramatic magical pieces.”

-Toronto NOW magazine

“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed and was mesmerized by your work, it was hilarious and unbelievable.  I truly believe that if everyone were as professional, considerate, and friendly as you the world would indeed be a better place.”

Gale H. Cone – Carlisle Tire

“John Tudor’s “Magic Theatre” performance was one of the best shows that I have ever seen.  Tudor’s production included four additional top notch magicians (that John had arranged for the TV taping) whose performances blended well into the overall program.  John is the comsumate performer and held the varied program together with his wit, humor and stage presence.  The large audience thourghly enjoyed the entire evening.”

-Booth Chilcutt, Sumter Opera House

“As the keynote speaker, you were the perfect touch to kick off our conference. Participants thoroughly enjoyed your message, and I don’t think they can get over the “magic”! We were all very impressed…best wishes for continued success in bringing “magic” into everyone’s lives.”

-Cookie Grafton – Volusia Conference

“….EXCITING and INNOVATIVE performance! We were impressed with your creativity and expertise. Very professional and enthusiastic, attractive performers… You were a great addition to our concert!”.

-Betty Malone, SC Philharmonic Orchestra

“I have worked with John on several children’s themed events in the past 8 years. I have always been pleased with the quality of the show, the size of the crowd and with the entertainment. Children abosultely love his shows and this last show drew about 700 kids all laughing giggling and spellbound by “The Magic of John Tudor”. I highly recommend “The Magic of John Tudor as  quality family entertainment and welcome more shows from John in the future!”
